1999 silverado

6.0 i just power progamed the engine and when i mash the pedal to the floor it stumbles. myy question is what is causing the stumble. its almost like it isnt getting enough gas or air upon hard acceleration

I dont know a huge amount of these trucks but usually year model engine trans 2x4? 4x4? EC? SC? what rear gear? what mods have been done? if any?

I used the Hypertech, changed the rev limiter, shift points, octane

What grade or octane of fuel are you running on right now? If your still running on the lower octane fuel your gunna see a stumble.

I'm guessing you may have a plugged up fuel filter. With the hotter tune at wot it's going to demand more fuel.

What brand of pump? Just because its new doesn't mean it's good. Still need to check pressure with a gauge.

i dont know as i did not put pump in ,it did the same thing with the old pump, was told new pump was working fine. when it stumbles and you let off pedal its ok

the bestpump for these trucks is the ac delco pump the others just dont put out the same.

i'd recommend unprograming the computer and see if its still there.

also when was the lasttime it had plugs and wires,dis cap and rotor, and the air filter replaced?


if it started after you changed something change it back and see if it goes away. start with the basics

a 6.0 does not have dis cap but i do have a kn airfilter that does get cleaned along with a gm fuel pump that was replaced and working properly
