Weird carb

This wasn't on any truck I owned, but this is driving me nuts. I had a 76 Cutlass with a 260 V8. It had what looked like a Quadrajet with the secondaries blanked out (solid cast instead of butterflies). Can anyone tell me what this carb model was? For some bizarre reason this random thought came to me and won't leave.

Re: Weird carb

I believe you're looking at the Rochester Dualjet. Similar in primary operation to the Quadrajet.

I believe the purpose was to be able to use the Quadrajet manifold with a 2-barrel.
