89 ranger bites the dust
My sb chev powered ranger is is twisted chunk of steel the good news is that my 17 yr old kid is ok, & the other guy was issued a ticket. The kid was making a left turn, & the idiot behind him tryed to pass him on the left side this happened in front of my house........have you ever seen an old man in the middle of the street in sock clad feet? Fortunately , the guy clipped him just behind the cab, any closer& that kid would have been in the hospital(yikes). when i got out to the street, he had been spun 180 around, & was pretty rattled . He couldnt open the door, & wanted the he!! out of that truck(understandable). as luck would have it, he had 2 or 3 people see what happened, & they stayed to talk with the cop on the scene. the old man that hit him tryed to say the kid cut infront of him from the far rh lane......3 people jumped & said that was bull sh!t(thanks to the good guys out there). An E 150 van sure makes a mess out of a little ranger......man that will rattle you big, every time those kids take off, a parent has to worry. The mess could have been a lot worse..........crazyL , feelin real lucky today

longhorn i have been that kid but luckily i was in my 72 when i was hit on my driver door at over 50mph by a new ford f150.i think if i was in any other vehicle i probably wouldnt be sitting here typing this right now. destroyed the f150 put the eninge through the firewall twisted my bad and suspension up bad i was lucky enough to walk away. the worse part is nobody saw what happened except me and the guy who hit me and of course being 16 it was deemed my fault because the guy said he was doing the speed limit which theres no way he was but anyways im glad your son is ok

I get pretty cranked up at times, but was too worried about that kid trying to jump out the window of the truck into traffic. He was going off, & cussing that old man, & I was trying to get him to "chill", & just sit down a bit. I have to admit that when things get crazy..........that kid has been the one standing behind the old man "dad, watch it.....its not worth the hassle". He is really sharp for his 17 yrs crazyL

At this point, we arent sure on a replacement....but the kid is talking a V8 S 10(extended cab), or S blazer. I think a V8 S blazer would be cool, but we are both a little shaken by the fact that a 30mph side hit pushed the box to the framerails on that little truck......I am just glad he didnt get "nailed" in the door, he could have been hurt bad. I told him he could drive my flatbed......but he thinks that one is too fugly crazyL

Get him a 67-72!
Last july I was still 16.I was on my way to pick up a paycheck.I was messing with my cd player. When I look up an old man had stopped in front of me.I was doing 60mph at that time.I locked the brakes up and tried to steer away from it.I ended up smoking the back of the brand new toyota tundra.(still had temp tags on it)My pride and joy 91 GMC sonoma was now tottalled.I walked away.I broke the old mans ribs. I found out the insurance bill on it was over 17 grand. And that doesn't include my truck. That is you should always have insurance.I am currently planning putting a 406 small block in a 2wd shortbed s-10.I have the motor.I just have to get rid of ome other vehicles. It should be fun! I am glad your son is alright.

Im just glad I didnt have daughters.....you have a son, & you worry what 1 little pecker is doing....with a daughter, you worry about all the peckers in town.....crazyL

glad your son is ok! Man I don't know how many times I heard of someone causing a accident, and trying to frame the one in the right. that happened to my son, good thing he also had witnesses, If I ever get in a accident, and I'm in the right I'll block traffic for miles till I get a witness statment, I've also heard people say at the time oh it's all my fault, then the next day they turn it right around on you, some people just can't owe up, bad enough he could of seriously hurt your son, he tries to frame him, what a scum
