Metal Art
Not sure what this kind of stuff is actually called but I have always liked seeing what artist come up with and what they use in their final product.
I used rivets, and nails, washers and TIG rod. It was fun, but it was tedious welding the ends of two 1/16" welding rods together. Anybody else do this kind of tinkering? This was my first attempt. I will have it on my desk at the weld school.

Since yesterday I decided that I needed a grinder somewhere in the piece. I had to grind the clear coat off in certain areas and weld quick so I did not damage the stickers.

Cool piece Mike. Here is my one and only attempt. It's a 235 piston and bearings from my '50 pickup with some LS1 pushrods, rockers and lifters for arms. I was supposed to be helping my wife clean the house.

Mike that is some killer detailed work. Unless you're a giant, that is on a a fairly small scale for all the detail you incorporated. LEEVON love the piston guy.

Here is a piece I did for a good friend of mine who is a very accomplished artist. I have started making themed frames rather than the usual wooden frames. This one is from a scene in Disney's Sleeping Beauty, The frame is steel that is hammered to look like branches and then I twisted and welded it. I also made thorns out of cable and old style square nails. The frame stands 5'6" x 4'6"
