I am not sure if you check this often but I will ask here and if not hopefully I will get a chance to call this week before the sale is up. I need a tailgate, tailgate hinges and a front bed panel for my 1946 Chevy. I was wanting the style of the original tailgate (no lettering) #100642 but thinking about the 102902 or 102902S. From the pictures on the website I can not tell if they are the same tailgate style. I do not want the 102814 style tailgate. I also do not want the hidden latches so can I go with the 102820 tailgate and the 102835S links and come up with the same thing but no holes in the back side of the tailgate for the latches?

If what I am thinking is correct, it looks like this is my parts list.

100606 front panel
102820 tailgate
100888 hinges
100324 qty 4 hinge bolts
102835S link assy.

What would be my total with shipping to a business address at Zip code 47882? With the 10% sale included.

Yes, the 102820 tailgate is exactly like 100642 except no chain latch brackets/holes.

If you want to use the link assembly but not the latches this would be the correct order.

Of course, you will still be required to do the modifications to the tailgate yourself as far as notching the sides and measuring and drilling the holes for attaching the link assembly to the tailgate. (If we sent you the tailgate already modified for the link assembly, it would also have the latch holes)

Another question, Does the tailgate made for the links have extra bracing where the link attaches to it? Would I be better getting that gate made for the links and filling in the holes for the hidden latches?

There is no extra bracing/reinforcement on the hidden latch tailgate component. The main difference is that it already has all the holes for latches/links, and the ends have been modified to allow the links to fit between the tailgate and the bedsides.
