update pictures of my 1980 Stepside

See link in my signature... Not everyone's style, for sure. Not dropped, lowered, slammed, laying frame, etc. Call it a "pre runner" style. Whatever... I like it!

Done:
  • Replaced 250 I6 with 350 HO crate motor
  • Replaced SM465 with 700R4 transmission
  • Replaced steering column
  • Vintage Air installed
  • Headers and exhaust
  • Aluminum radiator, new fan and clutch
  • Anti-sway bar
  • Rebuilt rear end, added posi and 3.73 gears
  • New tires and wheels
  • Stereo and speakers
  • Gauges
  • Dynamat
Still needs:
  • Carpet installed
  • Power steering installed
  • Recover seat (I think)
Oh yeah, it's sitting dead as a doornail due to what I think it a bad ignition switch...

Gonna leave paint and body alone - it's got "charisma" and "patina"

Looks great, nice work. Throw a brake booster on, bolts in and only needs a different length rod IIRC. What color is that?

I like the look. Very nice looking truck. If you are not painting it are you going to clear coat it just to save the paint job as is?

Thanks! Plan is to add booster this weekend... Truck was originally Light Blue Metallic, which can still be seen on dash and firewall. Was repainted some darker color, don't know what name or code...

Looks really nice! I'm liking that vintage AC, really cleans up the firewall. The whole truck is just really clean looking.

Sweet truck!

I'm running the same serpentine belt setup and plan on running Vintage Air. Where they able to sell you the correct compressor and hoses that you needed to run the serpentine belt setup?

Are those cab corner speakers mounted on the brackets the guy makes and sells?
