The wife isn't going to like this...

I've decided to keep the '71 cheyenne together instead of chopping the frame, pitching the cab/bed and making a Short Step out of the deal.

I've managed to round up enough parts to just build the '72 Short Stepside . I'll just make the '71 a parts go getter, something I won't be worried about tossing an engine in the back or whatever. Guess I have to change my signature now

that ochre 1 looks the exact same as a guys truck that i know in my town.

You must learn, she needn't know everything. Sure she can know your replacing the engine, but really, 350, 400, 454, 502, those are just numbers she doens't need to worry about.

It won't be the number of the engine she will be concerned with...it will be the price tag!! I've been working on my wife for that Ram Jet 502 for about 8 months now.....

1971 C10 Stepside. LSx 6.0 with BTR Stage IV, Speed Engineering Headers, 4L80e transmission w/3200 Circle-D Stall. 3.73. Posi. Purchased this truck when I was 17. I started the rebuild (or take apart) in 1993. I have drug it around all over the country in pieces. Finally back on the road in 2021.
