measuring for driveshaft
hi guys i own a 1950 chev truck and am looking to measure for a driveshaft should i put weight on the frame to simulate the box on the truck being the reason the pinion angle will change any help would be great thank you

i wouldn't think it would make much difference. My slip yolk only moves in/out 1/4" (full travel of the suspension). You just don't want it too long. I thought I would get more travel, so I ended up making my driveshaft too short by about 1". Still worked fine..... it is just a lot cheaper to shorten a driveshaft than it is to lengthen one.
