Re: anyone know anything about built in factory toolbox?

Yes, it was located on passenger side between door and wheel well on the box. Had an inner fiberglass box. Was an option starting in 70 and ran until 74ish(73+ r on drivers side). If in rust free condition can be worth a nice chunk of change

Yep, what reno said...long box and longhorn only. No blazers suburbans or short boxes could get them.

Re: anyone know anything about built in factory toolbox?

I wondered about the longhorn, if the tool box was optional. Thanks for the bit of info!

Re: anyone know anything about built in factory toolbox?

GM called it a tool & stowage compartment.
