1968 c10 4x4 or 2wd?

Just curious if a guy had a all original swb 4x4 or 2wd same condition truck. Faded original paint, light rust in rockers, pin holes in box side behind tire. Both running in good running condition which is worth more? Now if a guy lowered 2wd or raised 4x4 up 4in and added tires and wheels looks like 2wd bring more?

imho... the k10 is harder to find but c10 is much more popular. the original paint seems to bring more demand in the c10's than k10's. so i'd say the c10 has more value, but not much.

unless these are oddly specific "hypothetical" trucks, we need some pics!

The swb 4x4 would bring more than a 2wd, assuming the swb isn't a big block. There just weren't as many made.

Re: 1968 c10 4x4 or 2wd?

If buying to resell save the money clean them up and don't raise or lower. It narrows your field of possible buyers. Now I am not just pulling that out of the air, I'm telling what I have learned from some years of doing this. True if you are in a populated area that there are tons of people in may not matter one bit, but where I am that money spent on the modding is never recooped in a sale. If you are buying to resell I wish you luck and hope it does sell. Jim
