Set of Centerline Pro Stock series wheels, 15 x7 six lug. Never mounted.

SOLD,,,, THANKS.... OK, everyone around here knows I am a Centerline snob. I am a huge fan and they are one of the few things I am brand loyal to, have been since the late 70's. I hate it when a truck for sale ad says "Centerline wheels" and when you look they are American Racing or worse yet, some other knock off. Alright, my rant is over. When I was building the Cheap Bastard truck I was always looking for an old set of Centerline Auto Drag wheels, never did find any. One day I did stumble across this set of out of the package, never mounted, set of Pro Stock series wheels. They were really big in the late 1980's, I had a set on my 66 Chevy II drag car in 87. Anyways, sold the Cheap Bastard before I ever got to mount these and they will not work on the 72 swb I am doing, so they got to go. They are 15 x 7, six lug and include center caps. They have been stored under my work bench and just need a good cleaning to look factory fresh. These are so hard to find that I will ship them if I have to (probably around $30.00 per wheel). Tell you what I will even throw in a new set of chrome lug nuts. I want $450.00 for the set plus shipping. Sorry I was so long winded, these are one of the few parts that I do kind of have a soft spot for. Thanks, Fred.

Re: Set of Centerline Pro Stock series wheels, 15 x7 six lug. Never mounted.

I had one of the first sets of those wheels on the West Coast back in the '80s because a very good friend of mine was pals with Ray Lipper, who owned Centerline at the time. They are an outstanding wheel, and I have always felt that Weld took away a lot of Centerline's business for no good reason. The Centerline product is light years better in quality than a Weld product. I've owned them both, and Centerline is thicker, the aluminum is better, and they're stronger.

Centerline makes a great quality wheel, and all of their operations are done in-house. Not too many wheel companies are doing that anymore.

I agree. Thanks for the positive info. Most people have never even heard of this series wheel.

Will they work with disc brakes? Can you shoot a pic of the back side of one?

I am sure they would. I am away from the shop right now but I will get you a pic as soon as I return. I will also include the original part number if that will help. Thanks, Fred.

OH! I have. These were my favorite gotta have wheel back in the 80's. Unfortunately I could never afford the set I wanted, and then they discontinued them. Now you just don't see them for sale.....they've got to be out there. Too bad these aren't 5x5 bolt pattern.

Here's a bump for ya........

I know. I looked and looked, finally found these. I was waiting for the right time to put them on my 68 but sold it instead. Now I have a 72 and of course, they won't work for it. The way I swap trucks, I should probably stick them back in the corner. Oh well....

Hey Dean. here is a pic of the backside of the wheel. Sorry, no part #, but it would not do any good since they were discontinued years ago. If anyone is serious, I will even split the shipping costs. i just hate to see these kicked back under the bench. Thanks, Fred.

Re: Set of Centerline Pro Stock series wheels, 15 x7 six lug. Never mounted.

I see absolutely no reason why they wouldn't work with disc brakes. I had my set on my wife's '82 Trans Am, originally equipped with 15" wheels and disc brakes, and they cleared with no problems. We had 15x7 on the front and a custom backspace 15x9.5 in the rear. I know that it's odd to compare an '80s F-body to a truck, but I would have to think that the disc rotor would be equal or maybe even larger on the T/A versus a truck, assuming that you're using a factory disc set-up.
