no factory rivets?
What would be a likely cause that you would think of?
1969 swb Someone replaced every single rivet (very front cross member, ball joints, even the brackets from the frame for the sway bar.literally everything) has been bolted. Just seeing what others may think? Maybe they undid it for frame straightening at one time? The suspension stuff is always likely to have been rebuilt.no big deal.just makes me curious why every cross member etc would be.I know bits a wild guess.

The rivets tend to wear and allow slop in the frame rails especially up in the front with all the power steering forces. The frame rails on one of my trucks used to literally come together and separate about a full inch when cycling the steering when there was no front bumper on. On yours someone might have restored the truck at one point, found a worn rivet or two, and decided just to change them all. It's not all that uncommon.

Accident? Frame straightened and they installed a new front cross member with bolts?
