67 c10 lowering questions

Whats the best way to lower my truck I just bought a disc brake kit with 2.5 in drop spindles for the front and now im looking at lowering the rear people are telling me lowering blocks are the easiest way to keep a smooth ride but the only ones I can find are 2 in id like to have 3 or 3.5 if it wouldnt cause any problems

Too big of a block will cause pinion angle issues and scrub line issues. You can get lowering springs or jeep springs to drop it a bit.

If your running 15" wheels dont go more than 2" blocks. As mentioned, you will have scrub line issues in the event of a flat. Springs or bags to replace the springs are a better choice.

So for a better ride should I do 2 in blocks and a 1 in lowering spring if they make them

You could do a three inch spring. Just make sure you fix your shock angle (with 3 inch drop it might not actually be that bad).

Personally, I'd start with blocks and see where that gets you. Keep in mind your springs have sagged, so a one inch spring might not even get you any drop. Word of mouth has it the jeep springs will significantly lower your payload. Something about the spring load and physics and stuff.

Do you want to maintain the same rake it has now? Some like more rake vs others who like them level.

Swap the spindles on & see how much rear drop you need/want based on what YOU like. If you feel you should buy the parts in advance, I'd do a 1.5" block & drop spring.

Thank for the help.... yes id like to keep the rake...another thing idk if there is any difference in the 6 cylinder springs but mine was a 6 and im dropping in a 383 ....... and I will most likely be keeping the 15 in smoothies I have to go on it.

I know this isn't exactly what you were asking for, but this is about a 2.5/5 drop. I don't know for sure about the front as I never put the 1" drop springs in to see if it was a 3.5" drop. I've got 2.5" drop spindles up front and unknown springs, but I think they're factory height. I know the rear is a 5" drop because I put in 2" blocks and a 3" drop spring.

Keep in mind that these tires are 29" tall, so yours should look a little lower if you have a smaller size tire.

Thanks! It's a respray in base/clear of the factory Medium Blue. The wheels are 22x9.5 on all 4 corners. A little big for my taste, but replacing them is low on my priority list.
