Covering inner door panels in c10

Does anyone have any experience in covering the inner door panels with material (Mexican blanket, burlap...) in these trucks?

What did you use for adhesive and what's the best way to get the tightest fit?

If you are going to get spray adhesive(like 3m) make sure you get one made for headliners or fabric- it will not soak thru the material like a general purpose adhesive will.

+1 you pay for what you get. Grab adhiesive for headliners, its designed for hotter temps and won't allow the material to drop loose in the heat. I like Wolf Grip.

Here's a pic of the door panel of my truck. I really can't tell you anything other than that. It was done by the previous owner. I know it's not a Mexican blanket but it might give you an idea on how to mount it. The top piece has been stretched and glued but I don't know with what and held in with screws in the corners. The bottom panel is also glued & screwed and tucks behind upper panel to help hold it from pulling loose.

This page has some pics of the door panels and interior that dbomb did on Dino's dually. He used clips on the back side to attach the finished panels. Looks soooo clean!

everyone has their own idea of what looks good, but I gotta go with the Mexican blanket idea. I think it would look cool along with a seat covered the same. Yep 3M SUPER ADHESIVE will work well. If you do it post a pic!
