Re: Picture of your truck with COWL HOOD???

I had 2 areas with fitment issues that my body guy fixed.

1) The top body line where the hood meets the cowl, the hood was narrower than the cowl, so the top of the cowl was pie cut and re-welded to correct that.
2) The pass side front of the hood ( where it meets the grille ) was bowed in, so he used a slide hammer with a wide hook to pull the leading edge of the hood out to close up the gap.

It looked great after he was done with it !

I think about doing a cowl hood once in awhile myself. I think I really like the look. I'd like to see pics of others who have done this too.

Re: Picture of your truck with COWL HOOD???

Mine had a issue with the stamping on the driver side like it had been stamped twice. Hammer and dolly time and it was fine.

Fits pretty good. I need to make a little adjustment on it, it doesn't want to pop up when you pull the release....

LockDoc
A GM starter solenoid return spring tacked on a washer behind your hood striker pin will pop it up a good inch or so... Did it to mine. Works great.

I did see the thread on that a while back. If I can't get it adjusted I might try it.

Thanks guys,
