Looking for opinion

My truck is getting the body work done and is in primer for the most part. The body man is pressing me to make up my mind. I have narrowed it down but can't make up my mind. It's between these two.

Re: Looking for opinion

Black if it's mostly show, red if you will drive it a lot.
I had a fancy black car, and it looked awesome clean, but didn't take much to look dirty.
And there's a reason they call it resale red, it's popular with a lot of people, and looks great.
I would have a hard time deciding between those two as well.

Re: Looking for opinion

I'll post pictures when I get home, I honestly haven't taken enough pictures of all the work I have done. Maybe I'll regret it someday but as of now, I have 3 kids all under 4, so when I get time to spin a wrench a camera is the last thing on my mind.

This is how she looked before the tools and the stripper had it's way with her.

Re: Looking for opinion

If I am going red, I was gonna do red steel on all interior with black seats, doors, etc. If I go black I am unsure what to do, maybe red upholstery?

Re: Looking for opinion

I'm looking to go black. It's tough to keep clean, but looks good when it is.

Re: Looking for opinion

Ya, this truck is strictly a summer, sunny day truck.

Re: Looking for opinion

Red. My '69 was '79 Porsche red and it was awesome. I will probably paint my '71 the same color. Black is hard to keep clean.

Re: Looking for opinion

Truck was originally light blue with white cab top. I know this isn't an original idea but if I paint it anything too radical, in a few years styles change and it won't be the "in thing". Traditional hotrod colors will always be in style.

Re: Looking for opinion

For me keeping black clean isnt a problem. The problem is that every little scratch from dust on your wipe down towel or people rubbing against the truck etc. Can be seen so easily. It happens on every color bitbon black it shows up like a scratch on a mirror. Love the color. Hate the maintenance.

Tough choice!

Toss a coin and get your eldest child to call it. Heads = black, Tails = Red
