WTB-Big tank sending unit

Looking for a sending unit for the 45+ gallon tank. Just need for parts, doesn't need to work. Thanks

I might have what you need. Just pulled out a 35 gallon deep tank from my blazer. Sending unit works good. Do you know the depth of the 45 gallon tank you are working with? If they are similar I would think it would be compatible.

Pickup tube is 12.5 inches. Float drops down about 12 inches.
Thank you.

Re: WTB-Big tank sending unit

Here are some pictures of the sending unit. Just pulled it out of the tank. My tank is 14" deep. Looks like it is a universal sending unit that is adjustable both on the depth and the float length. Not sure if this is what you need or not.

Not quite what I need, but I'll take it. The sending unit on the 45 gallon tank has a fuel pickup tube next to the sending unit. I'll post a picture of it when I get home next week.

Re: WTB-Big tank sending unit

I had the same problem when I redid my 45 gal tank. I bought a replacement unit from a street rod shop on ebay. It's a generic unit but if you follow the instructions to the letter it works perfect. I used a couple of pieces from the old unit with the extra pipes a little soldering and it worked perfect. I have never seen a gauge so accurate on anything I've ever owned as this one. It was very easy to do. Art

Re: WTB-Big tank sending unit

I figured I'd have to build a sending unit, it's just that my suburban is my daily driver & only source of transport. I don't want to tear mine apart for parts without a backup.
