c20 rear brake help

My brakes went out on my 72 c20 I pulled the drums and the passenger side looks new except for rust and brake dust but the drivers side was destroyed everything but the drum was bent twisted and broken I've got new hardware new shoes and new adjusters but I need the flat metal bar with a spring on it that goes between the shoes just under the wheel cylinder and these trucks are hard to find parts for in my local junk yards is there any later model trucks that might use the same thing

Hop on craigslist and see if there is anyone in Louisville selling used c10 parts because in a city that large someone has a chevy truck yard.
