1970 Blazer correct 350 suffix code

I need to know what the correct suffix code is for my early build 1970 4x4 Blazer, 350 w/auto trans, St. Louis plant. I was told it could have been a TAX, TAY, TBC or TMJ. Hope to narrow it down. Thanks

I don't know if GMC would be the same but my Jimmy is a 1970 from St. Louis. I still have the original engine. It is a TAY as you all have found.

Sounds like you might have it. My 71 Blazer was TBG.

Re: 1970 Blazer correct 350 suffix code

You guys may know this but decking the block in a rebuild can/will remove the stamped code so may want to skip that.

Very true. Maybe I should just get the correct cast # and date code then call it good. Or just put the LS376 like this guy has been telling me
