SUPER hard to find Cheyenne Super 30 emblems

First off let me start by saying I know my price is high. II price my items according to rarity and the effort taken to find them. If you don't agree with it please just move on and don't clutter up the post with negative comments. I am posting these here before Ebay to give members first shot. These are a very rare pair of Cheyenne Super 30 emblems from a 1973 crew cab dually. These are not 20 or 10 emblems which are VERY common! These are in great shape but need repainted. Price is $200 for the pair not including shipping. From my research none have surfaced in the last few years. Pictures up this afternoon.

Re: SUPER hard to find Cheyenne Super 30 emblems

Well me being me, I couldn't leave well enough alone. I started masking them off and painting them. Took an hour just to mask off the yellow on ONE emblem. I won't be able to do the black until tomorrow. The silver has been repainted on both. It will be worth it as I just don't like selling parts that aren't really nice.

Re: SUPER hard to find Cheyenne Super 30 emblems

Very nice work! It's great to see someone go the extra mile to make their parts the best quality possible. Here's a question - is the ochre an off the shelf item or did you have it mixed? I have some emblems to redo myself. Thanks.

Re: SUPER hard to find Cheyenne Super 30 emblems

Thank you for the compliments! It is a lot of work but it is something that I enjoy doing. I try my best to sell the best quality parts out there. There are a lot of sellers of these parts out there and you need tone one step above to have a good business. I am truly blessed to have a job doing something that I like so much. The ochre I used is actually an industrial paint. It is New Caterpillar yellow. I matched it to some NOS 1977 trim that I had for my truck.

Hey 1774btcrew, do you know what the correct shade of orange would be for 1979 GMC sierra grande emblems?

Re: SUPER hard to find Cheyenne Super 30 emblems

I have the correct shade but I had to have it mixed. When I was first redoing these, I was using a Boyd's model paint. It was discontinued.

Re: SUPER hard to find Cheyenne Super 30 emblems

Bright beauty engine paint is spot on but it fades after a few years so i was looking for an alternative. i never liked the yellow in sierra classic emblems

Re: SUPER hard to find Cheyenne Super 30 emblems

I actually got the stuff that I used mixed at an automotive paint store. I had the Boyd's paint color matched
