1972 C10 Currently Running & Driving Drivetrain and Parts

*****Drivetrain Prices updated! Would like to sell this drivetrain and running gear while buyer can still test drive it!*****

I have a 1972 factory A/C running and driving drivetrain for sale. 350/350 combo. I drive it occasionally to work and around town for now until I start taking it apart. I bought the truck for the body for my project and have no need for the drivetrain. It is in great running and driving condition. Engine runs strong and smooth. Transmission runs and shifts great as well. Suspension and ride is solid and rides great. No rattles or shakes. A/C does not currently work and should just need charged as far as i know, but all components are there from what I can see.

It is still available to test drive for the time being.

- $1400 w/wheels and tires, $1100 w/o OBO

Entire truck for sale for $5000

Other body parts from my project are available as well:

- 71 High-hump, non A/C Cab - $400
- sandblasted and zinc primered. Solid replaced rockers. Cab corners are solid but have filler. Some dents on the back of the cab. floors have some patches but all around solid and very fixable cab.

-71 Doors - $200/pair - $120ea
- primered, crease in driver door otherwise straight and good condition. No apparent rust.

-71 fenders - $100/pair
- primered, straight with exception of front lower cups. Very usable

- 71 bed - Sold!!!
- primered, straight sides and relatively straight floor. couple of very minor holes in bed floor. tempting to hold on to this bed. overall good condition. needs very little work to be nice.

I am open to offers on most parts. Let me know if you have any questions!

All items located in Dayton, OH. I will be traveling down to Knoxville, TN area Thanksgiving week and early-mid December and have means to transport if interested.

It looks like you are about 6 hours from me. I could do $1,000 shipped if I bring it directly to you or I'd do $650 if you met me somewhere off of I75 south of Lexington in the dates I'd be heading that way. In either case, I would need payment in advanced or at least se sort of nonrefundable deposit.

Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks

Re: 1972 C10 Currently Running & Driving Drivetrain and Parts

I tried to start this drivetrain in the truck last night and after a few cranks, it started up in high 20s and snow after sitting for a few weeks. Solid running drivetrain for a driver.

I'd also be interested in the white cab if 71_shortbed passes on it. Do you have any more pics of it. Like floor pan, cross sills, inner roof header panel, fire wall?

Floor pan needs a little work on driver side and a little on the passenger side. Cab supports have rust through and need replaced but is apparent where rust was. Inner roof header panel is spotless. Firewall is spotless side cowls have a couple of pin holes if i remember right. Rear outside header panel above back window is dented. rear driver side behind fuel tank hole has dents as well.

I also have the title for this cab.

photobucket is being very slow. i will try again later.

It is an auto column, non-tilt. i did not look closely at it but it is in fine driver shape. i would like to hold on to it until the body and frame are separated if you can wait. Should be together for only a few more weeks.

$150 shipped sounds fair as it is big and will be awkward to package.

Hello,

Don't know if your 72 outside grill is for sale but if so and good condition could you advise on your asking price?

Thanks

I would really like to keep everything together for someone but its not looking like im having much luck. I will give it another week or two and then start to part it out after I start the tear down. I will keep you posted and update the thread if it does not sell.

Thanks for your interest.

Actually, I have a friend that lives in Dayton. I could maybe get him to run over and look at it, probably give you a holding deposit also just so you know I'm serious.

What are you asking for just the 350/350 combo after you pull it from the truck? Thanks much, Bob

Hey bob, I would like to keep the drivetrain together as one plug and play, drop a body on and go. I would probably need $800 to separate them from the frame. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
