Muffler for a 250 engine, what sounds best?
I have a stock 250 engine in my stepside 68. Wanting a little sound out of it other than stock muffler. I have magnaflows on both the Camaro and BB 70 CST10 truck. They sound awesome but different engines all together.
What are ya'll running on the 250 engine? Are you happy with the sound? Thanks for the help as always.

Split manifolds and run duals. Then you can run any performance muffler and it will sound cool.

My system is all 2-1/4", with NAPA brand cats, and two no-name 15" glaspacks from a local muffler shop. Stock exhaust manifold has dual outlets from the factory. I just removed the y pipe and ran duals from the manifold back. Having side exhaust is a bit too noisy for me. I'll probably run them out the back at some point.
The rest of the motor is stock. It had a Rochester 2GV carb on it - but it's too big for the motor, I need to swap it to TBI or a Weber. |

I am running a 2" in and out dynomax I bought from napa. I think it sounds pretty decent for single exhaust on a six banger. I have no idea how to upload a sound clip. I do not have a YouTube account.
