I'm back....

I've been gone from here for over a year....health issues. That brings me to my main reason for renewing my subscription...namely, I'm having to part with my '69 SWB C-10. I bought in on Halloween of '99. I drove it until October of '07. Since then, it has been completely disassembled...completely. Every last nut and bolt. The frame was disassembled, sandblasted and painted. Ditto for every component of the suspension. Over the years, I have amassed a number of parts and pieces for it. I had big plans for it. It was black with black cloth interior when it was new. It has the 350/400TH combo, with a non-posi rear end. It had power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. It had the upper and lower bodyside moldings, along with chrome front bumper. I have acquired the matching chrome rear bumper. It has ECE front disc conversion with 2 1/2 dropped spindles and new stock height front springs. The rear was lowered 4 inches. I had plans for the paint and interior and I was dealt several health blows since October of '06, when I had a stroke. I had hoped that my son and I could finish it, but that hasn't happened. Good intentions don't build trucks. So, this isn't a for sale ad, just a post to let you guys know that I'm back.

Re: I'm back....

I've been missing you. There isn't too many Arkansas guys here. I would be willing to help bolt it all back together so it would sell better. That wouldn't take long at all.
I once had a 69 Camaro in pieces in the shop and made a deal to sell the roller[big mistake] I thought I didn't have time to work on it but when I sold it the guy of course wanted an all together cart. well my crew and i[back when I had a crew] put the cat together in a day and a half it broke my heart to see it leave. Even more so when I saw what we should have done in the first place.
I would hate to see you lose a couple of tons instead of just one. Just holler if I can help in any way. Jim

I'm with Jim on this, I'm only a short drive from you, let me know if I can help. It took me 5 years to put my truck back together, but I bet between the three of us we could do better than that!
