Finally got my new rods

I finally got my new H-beam rods in. Took a few weeks to get made.

Re: Finally got my new rods

High compression yes. Somewhere between 11.4 and 11.9 depending on head gasket choice. Average RPM motor, going with a Brian Tooley Racing stage 2 or 3 truck cam. I'm still considering one of these. I have to control myself on cam choice as I want this as a daily drive on dry days. Dealing with rush hour traffic is my concern.

Re: Finally got my new rods

I've been thrashing Gen III rods for a while now. My LS1 Camaro has ARP bolts and I've spun it to 7,000 more times than I can count. I've always had that little "what if" in the back of my mind though. Same for my truck on 16psi. Gen III rods and boost certainly have a bending point.

I think you're on the right track installing good parts.

What heads are you running?

I have 706 heads I'm putting in 2.05/1.60 pro flo valves with a port job.
