7 day restoration

I'm no body man /painter by any means . with the help of craigslist finds and some swap meet stuff ,I cobbled together a budget minded build.I did this in my rock drive way in 7 days.,,well i did the engine bay about a month ago,in a day.

...some more..paint used was rustoleum in the gal,and shot out of harbor freight 14$ spray gun..

How did the Rustoleum lay down? Thinking about using it as well. Was the gun a cup gun or HVLP?

hi ya ,,it covers well,I mix 50/50 w/acetone.hvlp gun from h/f.on a 10gal compressor.

thats a nice transformation there with cheap and easy touch up.
did you use gloss on the body?
how about the primer you used,spray can?

from my expieriance rusto takes for ever too dry unless its out in the sun.

we used satin black on the kids truck mixed the same way and a $7 hf cup gun.
i made the kid spray it he never touched a spray gun in his life and it came out great. very easy lays out nicely.

i must say after 5 yrs of being outside its gettin pretty faded and chalky looking since rusto has no uv protection.

i'm thinkin i'm gonna do this again on my k.

YEA MAN ,I went with rusto red primer (rusy metal stuff)in the quart can ,then i mixed up some gloss w/ some flat i had in my shed. yea it drys to the touch in about 2 hrs..probly and week or so to cure. it was about 80 degrees out.
