After selling off my collection of 67-72 trucks and parts a few years ago, I am starting to search for a new first gen blazer/jimmy.

Not looking for any rust repair work projects as I have been down that road and would rather not repeat it - searching for a running/driving truck that I can just drive around and enjoy. Anybody got any leads?

How has everybody been doing? What's new?

You should check in with the people that bought your stuff, if you have their contact info. Who knows, maybe they would sell something back to you.

Good point - I have no idea how to contact the guys I sold my trucks to though.

I'm ready to start on something new to me...

Look in the dry climates to eliminate rust issues... have someone local check it out for you and take pictures... you didn't mention a budget... here are some

The blue 71 is a bucket.

Replaced the rockers and made some lower quarter replacements that weren't very nice, all the inner structure was still rusted/missing, torque boxes rusted through, floor around the wheel well, core support. All rusted. And the paint wasn't all that nice, interior was ok, dash had been cut for a radio with what looked like a butter knife and tin snips. Roof has a giant hole that was filled with a piece of plywood and painted blue

Haven't really finalized a budget yet. Don't want something that I don't want to drive/enjoy because it is too nice (if that makes sense).

I'm happy with a solid rig that If I want to use it as a truck, I'm not worried about it getting dinged, etc.

I found my first blazer out in Washington state with help from guys from this forum so I'm not afraid of shipping the right truck if I find it.

So I bought a 1972 2wd blazer from board member gringoloco who got it from another board member 5150 - so it has passed hands a few times...

It is in rough shape, but i can build it up the way I want it and know what is under the paint/hood when I get that far and it is a true 2wd truck.

I will be starting a build thread when the truck makes it my garage so stay tuned for more pictures and details in the near future.
