Very interesting spid i found at junkyard today

So i found this spid in the junkyard that has some interesting options on it. Mainly the "radio suppress" one... Anyone have any info on what that option even is?? Tried google and came up with nothing...

My only guess would be a radio suppression coil for the radio equipment. Common add on in the old days. Radio Shack sold them. It was a winding / coil / transformer-ish thing that you wired into the power wire to the radio. It filtered out the Electro Magnetic Interference from things like ignition wires or some such thing. Otherwise you would hear a wine in the speakers that changed with engine speed.

Wouldn't have thought it was a factory option though.

I've seen the "GSA label", "Caution Form" stuff on trucks that were ordered for Government use.

I want to get a Cigar Lighter for mine, now. None of this piddly cigarette stuff

Gov't order. Hi-frequency FM required extra suppression equipment. Gov't orders were basically COPO orders. There are options you will never find on the regular production code roster.

You are correct. GSA is Government Service Administration.
