You'll love it, I loved mine. Be ready for a long weekend or two. For me the front was easy, the back refused to come apart.

Re: 4/6 drop kit

Cool, you'll really notice a big difference if you add a front sway bar too.

Re: 4/6 drop kit

C-notch goes in this week. The rest is done.

I just went to the CPP shocks (Got from LMC) and like them better then the KYB's.

Re: 4/6 drop kit

Any excuse to post a pic of truck! Mine is a 4 1/2" ECE drop in the front with disc conversion and 5 lug. (2 1/2" spindle, 2" spring) and a DJM leaf spring flip in the rear which netted a 7" drop.

Your truck looks great! What size are your tires for future reference?

Re: 4/6 drop kit

Not to hijack but if one were to buy the 2/4 drop kit. Then installed spindles and disc brakes later it would sit at 4/4. What would be the best plan to drop the rear 2 more inches to a 4/6. Changing to 6" springs does not seem ideal.

Excited to see your before and after pictures. Good luck! These guys are a lot of help.

4 inch springs and add 2 inch drop blocks.

Can you tell me about your experience with CPP shocks? I find the KYBs with my ECE 4/6 kit a bit bouncy.

Re: 4/6 drop kit

If you want good shocks to go with a lowered suspension, go take a look at the Belltech shocks.

Why do some people need a c notch in the frame when dropping 6 inches in the rear and others do not? I'm talking about static drop. I'd like to go 4/6 but do not want to notch my frame. So I'll probably end up with a 3/5. Thoughts?

I notched mine because the thought of "maybe getting away with no issues" wasn't good enough for me.

Re: 4/6 drop kit

I have a 4 1/2" / 6 EC in my 69 SWB ( no C notch ) & just drove from Las Vegas to western Canada with no issues . Hit some big bumps & lots of railway crossings on the way .

I started with a 4/6 after time I wanted it lower in the rear to level it out but didn't want to notch it either after some time on here I kept seeing there was no doubt I would have to notch it according to most people. So one day my buddy said screw it lets try a drop block and if it hits we will take it out. We started with a 1/2" block drove it like that for some time still had room then went with a full 1" block cut the rear bump stops in half and till this day I haven't hit and have no notch, but I don't haul anything either. all these trucks are different all you can do is try...

What size rim and tire are you running with it lowered like that? And once mine is running well and lowered I don’t plan on hauling nothing but “cash, grass, or a$$”. Haha. An old late friend of mine used to always tell people when they asked for a ride that it was gonna cost one of those three.

Re: 4/6 drop kit

Chuck, not to rain on the parade, but I hope you have wheels and tires figured into this also. You've got some beefy tires there and the wheels have a lot of offset. Those combined with a 4/6 drop will rub the fenders.
