LWB to SWB on GMC
So I was thinking about converting a 68 GMC from LWB to SWB and was wondering if there is anything different in the steps being that it is a GMC vers a chevy? I figured they were the same bodies and frames, but just want to ask the experts before I start cutting.

Both the same except the name on the tailgate ! I would suggest you find a short frame and bed to do conversion. JMO....good luck though

Dumb question, but can both coil and spring trucks be shortened? I was under the impression GMC came stock with coil and the Chevy got leaves, at least in the base C10. That could impact what truck you start with, but I'm not 100% sure.

There was a question here about leafs, and as said in post #14, the cuts are actually under the cab, so the rear suspension should be intact.
