Shift Indicator Alignment

My C10 originally was a 6 cyl with a powerglide, but now has a 350/350 combo. I got the TH350 plastic shift indicator, but the positions don't match up. Is there a way to adjust that? I've tried shifting the indicator to help it line up, but can't get enough wiggle room to do that. Thanks!
