Drums rivets
I just pulled old original drums off of my '69 C10 in order to drill out the rivets so my new wheels will fit on. My quesiton is after I drill out the rivets, can I just leave the holes there? Do I need to fill them with something before i put it all back together? Thanks.

i'm not 100% sure on these trucks, but had the same issue on my Vette when doing a brake job. The answer for that was they do not need to be replaced. Always wondered why they even put them on there. Only thing I could come up with is it had to do with the assymbly at the factory so the hubs didn't come off when it was going down the line.

You can machine the front drum on the bearing carrier if they are riveted and it give a more accurate drum, they do it on corvettes too, re-rivet the disc rotor then machine it. Normally not necessary though.
