'71 2WD Rear Frame Rails

Have the last 16'' long frame rail sections from a '71 2WD 1/2 PU. Will cut shorter if someone wants to reduce shipping weight. Normal surface scale, good mount holes. Good replacement sections if truck was rear ended or a roll bumper was added by PO.

No pics but everyone knows what these are. Can do pics if wanted tho. Will remove the factory hot rivets before shipment. $20 plus shipping, money order, do not have Paypal.

Re: '71 2WD Rear Frame Rails

Is there a difference in the 2wd and 4wd rails where the bumper mounts? The previous owner of my 67 K10 cut off 4-5 inches of the frame to mount a big bumper. I need the portion just after the forward mounting holes. Not sure how long that is. Thanks John

Re: '71 2WD Rear Frame Rails

I will compare my '71 4x4 rear frame rails against these tomorrow. I have a step bumper mounted but can measure the bolt hole locations and give you some dimensions for comparison. Thanks for the interest.

Re: '71 2WD Rear Frame Rails

Pics of the frame rails. I compared them to my '71 4x4 frame and physical dimensions are the same. Both flare to a wider channel section at the 9'' mark going forward from the rear open end of the channel. Some of the factory hole locations match the factory hole locations on my truck and some do not. Basic channel is the same from one to the other. Don't think the hole locations would be a problem at all other than perhaps drilling new bolt holes? As mentioned the channels are 16'' long but can cut to a shorter length if you want to lower the shipping weight. Let me know if have further questions and thanks for the interest.

Re: '71 2WD Rear Frame Rails

How about cutting them, and leaving the last 9 inches. I think they will fit then in a USPS flat rate box. You said you don't do PayPal. pm me your info with a to task and I will send you a money order.

Re: '71 2WD Rear Frame Rails

I can do that, not a problem. Can do the 9'' or an 11'' cut as the inside of a medium flat rate box measures just over 11'' . Would give you a little extra room to play with when welding them to your frame. Either dimension would be same rate of $13.60 with a 3 day ship time. Total to your door money order $33.60. PM coming your way with payment info. Thanks for the purchase.
