Bench seat for rebuild

This seat was in my '70. I think I still have the black scroll aftermarket cover that was on it, but it is what I would call driver shape. I cleaned and painted the frame, and replaced the end springs. It will probably need some foam work. I have the sliders also. $75 plus shipping. Here are some pics.

Yes, here are some pics. First three are of the bottom cover. Pic 1: driver's side, side of seat, hole from broken spring. Pic 2: driver's side, split seam in middle. Pic 3: passenger's side, split seam at front.

Re: Bench seat for rebuild

Ok, so i'm interested. What else would I need to be able to install in my truck? I currently have buckets in it. The buckets are modern style so I assume that the brackets are not original. I assume I'll need the brackets that mount to the floor...

Re: Bench seat for rebuild

I have the the brackets I will sell them with the seat for $25 (so $100 for the complete seat with sliders & cover). The seat frame is missing 2 bolts where the back bolts to the bottom, it was that way when I got it 15 years ago. This allows it to fold forward but it has to rest on the gas tank when it's not folded forward. I never tried to get the bolts because I liked having it fold forward. If you don't have the in-cab tank you will need these bolts. Someone on the forum will have some. The only other thing you would need is a hog ring kit with pliers to put the cover back on. I think you can get that on eBay for less than $20. Here is a pic of the bolts for the frame. It has a Phillips head. You may be able to use a standard bolt.

What are the buckets out of? Might be interested in a trade.

Ok, no problem. I am going to be in Milford at the animal clinic on Saturday morning, I could meet you there if you decide you want the seat, just let me know.

Jake, are you still interested in the seat?

Thanks,

I am but it's going to have to be put on hold. The boss cut the funds off until after Christmas. Sorry

Re: Bench seat for rebuild

I will try one more time with this. If I don't move it within the next month, it's getting dismantled to repair the foam on the bucket seats that I bought, and I will modify the sliders to fit the driver's side bucket seat. This is a usable seat as-is, just needs the cover reattached. Can deliver within a reasonable distance for gas money.
