POL 8-Lug Disc Brakes, Reuse 1970 Center Link??

I'm about ready to convert my 1970 to front disc brakes and got all my parts on the table, but realized that the kit assumes I'd reuse my existing center link...is this correct?

A few backup articles making me have this question:

LoLife's Comment #3

Another LoLife comment making me question, comment #2

Here's the kit I purchased:

POL 8 LUG DISC CONVERSION

Any insight would be appreciated.

One nice thing about buying a kit is that you have the vendor as a resource. I would ask POL as they should be the expert with their kit.

That kit looks like it has conversion tie rod sleeves.
So I assume you will use your original centerlink.
The kit says uses 71-72 tie rods, so I suspect it used a 71-72 spindles.
Without seeing the kit, I bet the inner tie rods are a 63-70 version.

Haha, true. I had tried calling, but hadn't heard back yet.

LoLife this makes sense and I believe to be correct.

Lastly, thank you to the forum. Never want to be a burden and appreciate the help.

Hey Jahloha. Yes, you will retain and use your factory center link. When you called here, did you speak with someone? If so, who? I would like to find out why you still have not received and answer. Thank you for your order.

Hmm. That's a lot better response than I got about missing and damaged parts when I bought my kit from POL. I got crickets. You must have changed ownership or something.

Hey JC, mahalo for the vested interest. Don't remember who, but all good. I've been happy ordering from you the parts that I have. Also, glad to see you a member of the board now. I think we all look forward to opportunities offered to members.
