Doors won’t lock
Hey guys,
My doors appear to lock with the key from the outside, but when I go to open the door, the lock pops up and the door opens. I read another post stating maybe it is the latch? I’ve sprayed a bunch of wd-40 in there with no luck. I’ve also locked the doors from the inside, gone around and opened the truck without the key. You all have helped me get her running and I hope to be able to do some short trips around town soon. Thanks in advance |

our trucks only lock from the outside with the key. They won't lock any other way.

I have to push in on my doors to get them to lock all the way. Mine need a slight adjustment.

As stated above try pushing in on the door while you are turning the key.

Pushing the door in worked. This worked for the drivers side which has a newer door seal, but not for the passenger’s side door that is a little more sunken in without a new door seal.

There is a link in my signature line explaining why your door wont latch unless pushed in....worn out latch is the problem. The write up offers a solution too....
