"Direct Fit"
Close to installing my latest "direct fit" upgrade. Just thought I would share the definition of a direct fit product.
Direct Fit - Installation will require; Grinder, Cutting Wheel, Torch, Welder, Box of Wrenches, Vice Grips (multiple), extra connectors, brackets, interpretation of instructions (if there are any instructions) and vendor phone number. Once modification / fabrications are made you have a DIRECT FIT!!! |

Re: "Direct Fit"
Thanks for the tip.
I was concerned it would be a lot more work than that. You make it sound so simple. This should be a sticky.

Re: "Direct Fit"
"Hammer to shape, file to fit and paint to match" is a saying for a reason.

Re: "Direct Fit"
exhaust systems always seemed to be the worst for this. especially walker brand products.
even something as simple as a Y pipe rarely ever lined up, the pipes never reached the manifolds, some would even be as far as like 2 inches apart. so theres the whole delema of cutting and makeing it fit and voiding the warranty or sending it back and waiting a day or two to possibly get the same issue with the next one. im going to need a new exhaust for my k30 pretty soon and i dread the day |

Re: "Direct Fit"
Shoot, we're neighbors. First day I worked was at East Jackson Tower, which was just West of Pearl River. May meet up at one of the local shows. My truck is light blue 63 C10.
Till then, may sure oncoming headlight is not on same track. |
