Hey guys, I am looking to buy a set of 18" or 19" wheels for my 68' but I'm having a hard time finding a set I like in my price range. I was hoping to keep the cost of the wheels under $350/wheel.

Currently the truck is 6 luck and stock drum brakes. I have a rear 5 lug set of discs/calipers to go on eventually when I have the money to buy the drop spindle/disc brake conversion fronts.

Varrstone has a set I really like (ES9B), the problem is the offset is not ideal. It has a +12mm offset and I would need some massive (2-3") lug conversion spacers to run them. a -12 or -20 offset would work much better for the current drum brake setup.

Obviosuly Forgeline makes some really nice wheels that I like as well, but spending $1600 per wheel is not in my budget.

If you guys have any brand/manufacture suggestions that may have a wheel similar to whats shown above, it would be greatly appreciated.

About every wheel I like is in the neighborhood of $800 - $1,000 per wheel. Just not going to spend that kind of money. Billet Specialties has some nice wheels in your price range. I have also looked at a few of the American Racing wheels. Foose has a couple that are $200 - $300. Good luck and let us know what you go with.

I had orignally planned to buy the varrstone wheel and just run lug conversion adapters but after measuring I would need 2" up front and closer to 3" out back. That gets a bit scary to me.

I'll have a look at billet specialties. I forgot they make more then just drag wheels.

I know these are not 18-19 but craigslist is a good place to look for nice wheels cheap.
These are cheap enough as well.

Thanks Andy, I have a set of transport wheels that I was originally planning to use. They are just slightly too big and too heavy for my taste. I was hoping to find something a bit more modern.

If your going to drop 350 on a wheel, coys and us mags both make some good looking wheels but they are 20”. Both look great in a 45/50 series tire

Id sell them but unfortunately shipping would probably kill the deal for most.

SC1969c10 - Ive looked at their wheels as well but still haven't found anything I like that comes in the offset/backspacing I need.

I found these today while looking through another board members build thread. These are one of the better looking wheels I could find with a decent offset to them.

Ridler 650:

They come in 18x9.5 with a zero offset, or 20x10 in the same offset and 5x5 lug pattern.

I thought about those also, but have seen a lot of them on trucks already. Still want something different, just can’t afford my taste.

I was surprised to find Billet Specialities has an affordable rim. And I even like how it looks. They start at $210/rim.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
