Question 77 4 speed tilt value question, help please

i found a 77 3/4 ton 2wd truck, with factory tilt, in a local wrecking yard. my nephew wants it for his 75 suburban. i have no idea as to the value of 73 and newer tilt columns, i see automatic tilts quite often but this is the first 4 speed tilt i've seen. any ideas on a fair price to pay for it, i don't want him to pay a crazy price for it and find out later that he got screwed. i didn't ask the yard how much they want for it, i wanted to have some idea of it's value first---sometimes wrecking yard people think they have the only one ever produced.

I paid 30 dollars for a automatic tilt column, then took parts from it and my old one to build one solid column, got some eletrical issues though, I need to get a new harness for it so the horn doesn't stay on all the time when there is a fuse in it, lol

Jerry, because of the rarity of both early tilts and the stick. it is easy WORTH $75-100. your not going to find one lying anywhere else. DAVE

Thumbs up

thanks for the replies, that'll give me an idea of what to offer if their price is too high.
