bed floor

Has any body looked at possible using bed floor (maybe a square body?) to replace bed floor of a 67/72? Up here in salt country I could prob find a junk box with a usable floor.I know many years ago I had a floor off a square body and it bolted to my 69 perfect. I did not have any 67/72 bed sides to bolt on so I made a stake body of it.Any chance the bolt pattern is the same or if there is enough metal to make work?

Re: bed floor

The square body floor has a roll down lip that bolts the bedside through horizontal. Where as the 67-72 has a lip on the inner bedside to bolt vertical to the floor. With that said it is do-able because I have 72 short bed that was modified for a square body floor by a previous owner but from the looks of the work it took quite a bit of modifications to the 72 bedsides.
