LWB fleetside wood dimensions
Hi guys, I'm looking to see if someone can confirm the size of the wood bed planks for a lwb 72 fleetside.
I gotten the following info from gmcpauls but want to know if anyone can verify that it is correct. I will be ordering my wood to size and would hate to get everything too small. 3/4" x 7 7/16 x 97 qty6 3/4" 5 7/16 x 97 qty2 3/4" 6 3/8 x 34.5 qty2 3/4" 6 3/8 x 25 qty2 TIA. |

Not sure about exact for each plank, but do know it's about an 1" longer than 8 ft long. Because I went back with marine plywood in mine & ended up putting a piece of 1" square tubing at front to take up the gap from edge of plywood to header panel. But that being said I put bed together around the plywood & you'll need some clearance space to slip wood in already assembled bed panels, if that makes since.

I would go with GMC Pauls measurements. They are very knowledgeable about these trucks.... LockDoc

The numbers on GMC Pauls is good..I am just now finishing up my own cut wood and I used them for the sizes...I have a thread called good wood here in this forum .I will be posting some more pics of how the work is coming along on my 71 long bed
