67 gmc tie rod issues
67 gmc rebuilding front end. Started in drivers side and got to the tie rod ends and it is hitting. Any ideas? Hopefully the pics show up

Can you install the lower control arm shaft backwards? I’m thinking that’s what I did.

Your lower control arms do look too far forward.

This is how it lined up on my 67 C10 with 2 1/2 " drop spindles and power steering , Using MOOG parts . need some more pictures of what you have .

It looks as if your centerlink is backwards compared to Grumpy's. It could just be the camera angles. See angles of the red lines below. There are numerous threads on which way to install the centerlink to help you verify if this is the problem.

It looks like the center link is on wrong. Its also possible the steering gear is not lined up right. The 67 models came out with linkage type power steering & to put the later type gear on you need a conversion bracket kit.

just went and tried to take a picture of mine from the same angle. I'm guessing your centerlink is in wrong. It tucks up so close to the crossmember when done right, you would think it's wrong.

Thank you for your replies. The center link may well be the problem. However I will need a picture of what it should look like from the passenger side.
My issue is that it didn’t hit before I took it apart, and now it does and I didn’t mess with the center link. But after taking this think apart 5 times I’m ready to try something else!
