Chevy-GMC White Paint Number?

Need the Paint Number for '67-'72 Chevy-GMC White Paint for my new Rear Bumper. Also wondering if it is available in a Rattle Can.

Thanks

Re: Chevy-GMC White Paint Number?

Looks like I answered my own question, lol.

Is 521 White the correct color for a Bumper?

Yes, 521 would be correct. 526 is the ivory/ off-white.

Re: Chevy-GMC White Paint Number?

My understanding is that it was dependent on model year and truck primary color (the latter only playing a role in 67-68).

67-68 (non-521 primary color truck): standard bumpers were off-white, paint code 526
67-68 (521 primary color truck) -or- 69-72 (any primary color): standard bumpers were frost white, paint code 521

Also keep in mind that this applies to the standard bumper only, step bumpers were an option and were usually gray(ish).

You can order rattle can(s) for either here by entering 521 or 526 and Chevrolet in the search function.

Re: Chevy-GMC White Paint Number?

521 sounds like GM #11 white, which was used across all car lines for years. It got called a lot of different names, but it was always #11 white. It used to be so common that you could walk into a paint store and get a gallon of #11 that was already mixed and just needed a shake. I've shot a bit of it, myself.
