Front bumper bracket orientation?

Bought a pair of front bumper brackets a while ago and am pretty sure I got the right ones (while it is a 68 c10, I found out the PO put a later bumper on it with the outer bolt holes spaced further apart). I finally got around to installing the brackets and noticed they hang lower then the frame (pictures attached) and also interfere slightly with the front radiator/frame bushing (not significantly enough to prevent them from attaching). Looks like I will need to slightly elongate one of the holes to get everything lined up.

Having never had outer brackets on the car before, Does the below look right?!
