Tri-Five Header on 67-72 C10

I have been wondering for some time if anyone has tried using SBC headers meant for 55-57 Chevy{Car} on their 67-72 C10?
SUM-G9103 headers are a set I am specifically asking about.
I am running a 350/700r4, custom engine and tranny mounts, and is set back about as far as possible without firewall mods.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Tri-Five Header on 67-72 C10

I think that you will have a problem with the front tubes contacting the eng mounts or cross member under the engine? If you look in summits site, under headers for you truck (67-72), Hooker comps ( HOK-2452 HKR) you will see an example on how the front tubes go over the top & drop to the center & rear for clearance up front. These headers fit nice & tuck up pretty good. the collectors hang just about 2 - 2 1/4 inches below the frame rails. If you can post pics of your mounts.....some others may have suggestions Longhorn (the crazy fab nut)
