Re: Help vin decoding

Thank you for your help so that means the 910 model is Canadian only?

GMC67910, just reread your post and I wanted to mention that your truck is a 910 instead of a C1500. A C10 is a chevy, C1500/910 is the GMC equivalent.

Re: Help vin decoding

Now that Bruce has answered your question you are required to post a picture of your truck.

No.. Not really but we love pictures of trucks and of the SPID if your truck has one inside the glovebox door.
Welcome to the board.

Did you try and decode a GMC Canadian market VIN with vinwiz.com?
Bad information is worse than no information. That site does not work for this truck in question at all. In fact of the five numbers (various years) I ran through it, both US and Canadian it had errors/unknowns on four.

Here is the decoder example as decoded by vinwiz.com. Note it automatically selects the year range from the input VIN number. Plus it changed the input number "1" to "7" to conform for the plant code for it's solution.

So while it might help a lot of people for a quickie when it comes down to I need facts to help people and will continue to use my databases and reference materials.

Re: Help vin decoding

Those mirrors are probably the factory RPO D29 Jr West Coast Mirrors ($20.45). If you have a SPID they should be on it but could also be tha accessory dealer installed/over the counter mirrors.

Until you more about your truck and the direction you want to go with it I'd leave the stock parts on it. 910s are nice trucks you don't see too often in stock form. Does the truck have the red "Custom" badges on the doors?

It is a stock grill. The base model GMC's in 1967 had a white grill with GMC embossed in the center. The chrome grill came with the added trim levels. In 1968 the GMC was moved from the grill to the hood.

The chrome grill was part of the trim level options. A Z61 or Z84 code on the SPID will have the upgrage to chrome grill as part of the package. The trim level will be listed on the SPID (glovebox option sheet).
As far as the rarity of the 67 gmc 910 canadian model, you will get a few different opinions on that, but I don't think it is so rare that you couldn't customize it if you wanted to.

Thanks for the pictures, looks like it was a dressy truck. Hope the rest of the truck looks as good as the front end picture.
