dana 44 parts interchangeable?

Can we use ring and pinions or carriers out of ford dana 44's in our housings?
(i.e. 3.50 gears)

I don't think so the dana 44's in fords are high pinion axles. Assuming you mean the front axle as most fords had the 8 or 9" rear end.

yes talking front ends

Jeeps, dodges, fords, chevys, etc used dana 44 fronts during same time period.

I assume there are different widths but are many parts interchangeable?

All 44 parts are interchangable except ford front gears as they are reverse cut, and the early jeeps that were coarse spline spiders. I think there are 3.54 standard cut gears available-- wagoneer if I remember right

ya many waggoneers have the 3.54s...and a standard pinion..
