Upgrades to my new 58 Fleetside

Hey Now I have my 58 Fleetside I would like to upgrade her, I want to keep it stock(ish) as im still building (and spending heaps) on my rod.

Im looking at changing the wheels but i'm open to suggestions as I don't want to go to modern i do like this style.

and want to know what you call this type of wheel combo?

Being in australia it is a little hard to get older style wheels to suit these cars.

Also I would like to lower it but I am concerned about trying to send core units to and from the US?

Also if I keep the 3 on the tree manual column shift can i have an aftermarket tilt steering column?

And If I wanted to shorten the Brake and Clutch Pedal is that ok if so how much is ok and is there any bad points, being 6ft7 alittle more room would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Below are just a couple more pics of the car.
