I get to hear things like...
1. why do you drive that hearse?
2. why do you need all these trucks? (of course I towed another home earlier in the week).
3. my neighors would say what do you need with all that junk, like his crap that does not run is not junk; most of mine are taged and run.
4. one man's junk...another man's fortune.

keep on collecting...he who dies with the most toys wins.

Suburban Ambulance

I hear you brother!! No one likes my suburban ambulance either. My opinion, I love the extra room, the feel of the V8 and the rumble of the exhaust. I get lots of looks but no takers. Its cool though. Me and my German Shepherd like riding in it. I won't drive anything else. I wonder why that is??

69 Production numbers

C-10 Panel delivery CE10905 (2wd-5492) (4wd-0)
Suburban w/rear doors CE10906 7263 - 697
Suburban w/rear gate CE10916 N/A - N/A
C-20 Panel delivery CE20905 1779 - 0
Suburban w/rear doors CE20906 1649 - 289
Suburban w/rear gate CE20916 1087 - 256
I got these numbers from Motorbooks Int. Chevrolet Pickup Red Book. They only give production numbers with CE=V-8 models for Panel and Suburbans. I don't know if the CS=6 cyl is included in those numbers. As you can see 4wd Suburbans are very low production. I don't know why they left out the C-10 Suburban with rear gate or 6 cyl models. The book does have some production numbers for some 6 cly models but none for panel or suburban. B.B.

it figures. the old james bond - secret GMC national security issues. i use to restore chevy muscle cars for a man with a nice collection and you could get the facts about any pontiac but not chevy from the factory, even a copy of the build sheet. why would the corporation (GM) have different record keeping per brand ?
