Re: 1963 C-20 Disc Brake Conversion
The only conversion kit I've found is from Jim Carter's. The part number is HP524.
Haven't done it using the 3/4 ton later models as a donor, but if the 1/2 ton is any indication - then use parts from a 71-72 if you can, but the 73 and later should work. The A-arms look the same, but I'd get new ball joints and see if they will press in. On the 1/2 ton if you use the same a-arms but use ball joints and spindles from the 73 - up, the camber will be slightly off. The camber problem can't be adjusted out, but I haven't had and trouble with tire wear. Don't use the drag link from a 73 and later truck, it is made for the wider frame and will cause problems.
Get a front end rebuild kit from one of the suspension suppliers - Just Suspension, Performance Suspension Technology (I used them), or Performance Suspension Components.
