Steering shaft removal

I need to remove the steering shaft from my 1966 Chevy truck. Other than removal of connection at gear box and the steering wheel, is there anything else to keep it from coming out?
It is a three speed on the column.

Re: Steering shaft removal

The shifter linkage from the column arms and the electrical connection under the dash should be close to all. It is clamped on the engine side of the firewall plus all the firewall boot bolts. I will be doing the same thing in a couple of weeks for my tilt installation.
